The Truth About GoHighLevel's Affiliate Program (What They Won't Tell You)
Introduction
GoHighLevel is one of the most disruptive pieces of software in recent years - and a big part of its rapid rise to the top of the martech (marketing technology) space is its affiliate program.
In this blog post, I’ll dive into the details of GoHighLevel's affiliate program, dispel some misconceptions, and provide you with strategies to succeed as an affiliate.
Debunking the MLM Myth
Many people believe that GoHighLevel's affiliate program is a multi-level marketing (MLM) scheme or a pyramid scheme. However, this couldn't be further from the truth. Unlike MLMs, which often have subpar products with inflated prices, GoHighLevel offers a high-quality, no-brainer solution at an affordable price point.
The Affiliate Program Structure
GoHighLevel's affiliate program consists of two tiers:
Tier 1: 40% Commission
As a tier 1 affiliate, you earn a 40% commission on the monthly subscription fee for each customer you refer. For example, if your referral signs up for the $497 plan, you'll earn $198.80 every month as long as they remain a paying customer.
Tier 2: 5% Override
In addition to the tier 1 commission, you can also earn a 5% override on the commissions generated by affiliates you've referred. This can be a lucrative opportunity if you partner with someone who has a large audience and help them promote GoHighLevel.
So if you recruited a large influencer to promote HighLevel, and had them sign up for the affiliate program using your link, and they reached $50,000/mo in commissions - they would be earning HighLevel a total of $125,000/mo. Your 5% cut of that $125,000 would be $6,250/mo.
Additional Benefits
Custom Landing Pages
Once you've referred 30 or more subscribers, you gain access to custom landing pages within GoHighLevel. You can use these pages to offer exclusive 30-day trials, showcase bonuses, or provide additional value to your referrals.
My 30 day trial landing pages is totally custom and the HighLevel team installed it for me after I sent them the design.

Upgrade Commissions
If a customer you've referred upgrades their subscription using your link, you'll receive the difference in commission between their old and new plans. This allows you to earn more by providing additional value to current users and encouraging upgrades. Upgrades typically have better retention rates because the people already have their business built on HighLevel - so this is a great strategy.
Example: Brenda is signed up under Affiliate A on the $97 plan. She decides to upgrade to the $297 plan under Affiliate B. Affiliate A gets $38.80/mo from Brenda’s subscription (40% of $97) and Affiliate B gets $80/mo from Brenda’s subscription (40% of $200, the difference between $97 and $297)

There are several effective ways to promote GoHighLevel as an affiliate:

Run targeted Facebook ads promoting a training or resource that helps people get started with HighLevel or a business model that would use HighLevel, and include your affiliate link.
Some affiliates even make this training paid, which helps liquidate their ad spend and de-constrain their marketing budget.
Organic Content
Create valuable content, such as YouTube videos or blog posts, that showcase specific features of GoHighLevel and include your affiliate link in the description or resources section.

Direct Outreach
Engage with potential customers in Facebook groups, or reach out via cold email or direct messages to introduce them to GoHighLevel and offer your support or bonuses.
Is it Legit?
At the end of the day, an affiliate program is only legitimate if you truly stand behind the product.
For me, this makes HighLevel's affiliate program 100% legitimate as I stand behind the software’s capabilities and value proposition. While being a SaaS or Agency reseller of HighLevel might be best for some, this is also a rewarding opportunity for those who believe in the product and want to help others succeed.
I never set out to make HighLevel affiliate commissions a significant part of my income, but found that there was a large need for help and support, and people were happy to use my link for that help and support!
